[DAY 11 of 21] "The Journey To Your Restoration ~ Launch Out Into The Deep"

"And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake." (Luke 5: 3-6)

In this short bible story, Jesus in observance of the way in which Peter conducted his fishing expeditions without so much as catching one fish, dared him to do things a little different than he normally would and prove Him [Jesus] that by launching out into the deep and letting down his net, that he would come up with a great catch. Needless to say, that would not have been possible had Peter not decided to trust his Master and to do exactly as He had advised him to do. It proved the point that if we keep on doing things the way that we have always done it, we would always end up with the same result, that is, without progress or improvement.

The application of this word cannot be overlooked! We can become so busy caught up with life's everyday affairs and miss out on the opportunity to lend our 'vessel' (body) as pulpit to Jesus from which He can reach others and for the purpose of Kingdom advancement and building here on earth. At its' best, life of course can be distracting - job, kids, husband or wife, laundry or the beauty salon appointments. The noise and the bustle of it all, very little gets accomplished.

Then other times, one can become pre-occupied with church affairs, praying and talking in an attempt to reach out to God and then still miss His comforting and re-assuring words by being too hurry to get out of His presence. Through all of this, one can be left with the feeling of exhaustion, and a mind that becomes cluttered with many thoughts, including fear and frustration, when all it takes is a simple change in strategy. A change in strategy I believe that can result in cutting edge results and fresh ideas born from deep within the spirit man who took that moment to be still in the presence of God.

Praising God through our service to Him will without a doubt break one free from the shackles of life, but a heart that thrusts itself from beyond the shores and the borders of norms and routines into deep worship before the Lord will redound to a full recompense and rewards of miraculous breakthroughs! In the journey to our restoration, it is imperative therefore that we make the necessary adjustments in our lives and then launch out into the deep.

May God continue to bless you in His care and service to Him.
