How desirable a thing it is then that you and I must become more acquainted with that measure of immeasurable power and indeed our inheritance, that through Jesus Christ, our Heavenly Father distinguishes us and have already separated us from the curse of mediocrity and the maladies of a worldly system.
The digression of the Apostle Paul's exaltation in the selected text is not merely speculative but factual, as he makes mention of the Lord Jesus Christ that not only was He raised from death unto life, with all power in His hands, but that He now sits at the Father's right hand in heavenly places. The crowning moment of His glory extends even further as God has put all things under His feet and gave Him to be the head of all things to the church (v 22). It was a gift to Christ, and it is a gift to the body of believers [Christ Church] to be provided with a head endued with so much power and authority.
As believers, though we do not have the power to rule in heaven, through Christ, that which completes the comfort of the blessing is that we have been given dominion and power to rule in the earth. God specifically chose you and I to be heirs and joint-heirs to Kingdom Royalty (Romans 8:17).We are brought forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be the people of inheritance (Deuteronomy 4:20).
God had you in His plan of life, to live in the realm of Kingdom Royalty (1 Peter 2:9). We are...."a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." God not only had delight in our fore fathers to love them, but that we today as their seed and offspring have been chosen above all people as it is this day. It is what I call "unmerited favor" and "unprecedented blessings." (Deuteronomy 10:15)
It is indeed an honor to be called God's holy people, the redeemed of the Lord and a people who are called Sought out. (Isaiah 62:12) The mention of Christ's sufferings in Revelation 5 was that He was slain, but as partakers of it, today we are blessed beyond measure living in the realm of Kingdom Royalty as we are now partakers of the fruits being His redemption to God and His high exaltation, for in God, we are the kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. (Revelation 5:9-10)
