It Is Okay To Cry - God Understands Even When Others Don't

"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22) There were times past I felt that nobody else cared or even knew what I was going through. I was in the dark age - the age called not knowing Jesus and having Him as Lord and Saviour of my life. Mind you, I was in church, Sunday after Sunday. My children, little girls at that time, I would also take along with me. It became our pastime...somewhat traditional you can say. It is the place that Mama and Grandma teaches you that you are to be on that day, the Lord's day to observe and to keep it holy. But deep within, I was so empty. I struggled with pain, that many times would overpower me to the point of weakness. I was constantly bombarded with anxiety and fear, especially fear of the unknown.

Experiencing God Through Psalm 23

There is a very popular passage of scripture in the Bible that is found in Psalm 23. It is a psalm that David chronicled during one of his many difficult days. He begins the Psalm with a firm declaration of who he saw as his leader and the one whom he looked to for providing him with all that he needed.

So certain was his affirmation, that he vowed not to ever want anything in this life, nor in the life to come. As we say locally, his bread was buttered for life, he had it downpacked! It was his strong faith I believe that led to that strong conviction and one that would forever live on in our hearts.

Looking Through My Spiritual Lenses

Wherever you go in organizations today, you will find prominently displayed, vision, mission and purpose statements. Some have even taken it a step further and they have strategic goals and strategic plans. The influence is even greater today than it was before when it comes to the church with such terminologies and buzz words captivating our minds. It has become necessary, or so it seems, especially that many church congregations have gone on a fast tract of erecting multi-million dollar facilities seeing that as the 'new way' of growing God's church.

Finding Faith Amid Disaster - A Prayer For Aurora Colorado Families

Dear God, we approach your throne of grace, a place where we can obtain mercy and grace in time of trouble. We look to you for strength, for courage, for hope, for healing, and for comfort at this time when so many lives have been affected and changed forever by a tragedy that only you have the answers to. Hearts are heavy and touched by grief, spirits are wounded and feeling the pain of a senseless crime, and souls are bleeding as they mourn the loss of their loved ones.

Now Father God, we look only to you because your promise is - blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. So by the power of your Holy Spirit, we ask that you wrap your loving arms about them that mourn, and comfort them Father God. Give them the oil of joy in place of heaviness and sadness. Give beauty in place of the garment of ashes. Cause them to look to you Father, to give peace in the midst of confusion, light where there is darkness and turmoil, and a sense of relief to all of the hurt and pain.

Thought For Today

Nelson Mandela - The Legacy Continues

Approximately four years ago in June 2008, on the occasion of Mr. Mandela's birthday bash, London's Hyde Park gave birth to the idea that nothing could be more fitting than to celebrate Mandela's birthday each year with a day dedicated to his life's work, his charitable organizations and to ensure that his legacy continues forever.

In November 2009, the UN General Assembly joined in and declared July 18th as Nelson Mandela International Day in recognition of the former South African President's contribution to the culture of peace and freedom. Since then, a unanimous resolution of adoption was taken on November 10th 2009 and the Mandela Day has been officially adopted by the United Nations (UN) as "Nelson Mandela International Day" It is now an annual celebration. On the day Mandela celebrated his 94th birthday, July 18th 2012, the UN joined a call by the Nelson Mandela Foundation to devote 67 minutes of time to helping others as a way to mark Nelson Mandela International Day. Tagged in his honor, "My pledge to take action & inspire change in honor of Nelson Mandela International Day."

What is Mandela Day?
"The Nelson Mandela campaign message is simple: Mr. Mandela gave 67 years of his life fighting for the rights of humanity. All we are asking is that everyone gives 67 minutes of their time, whether it's supporting your chosen charity or serving your local community. Mandela Day is a call to action for individuals - for people everywhere - to take responsibility for changing  the world into a better place, one small step at a time, just as Mandela did." read more

Trusting God Through Life's Delays

Got delayed? Yes? Something did not go on schedule as you planned it? Yes? Then I crave your indulgence for just this brief moment! A delay in life does not mean a denial, you just have to trust God in the delay. The reality is, on the board walk of life, you will encounter numerous challenges, delays, and difficulties. Delays in your life don't know the colour of your skin. It is not familiar with your ethnic background or your nationality. It distances itself from the upper, middle and lower class. It wants nothing to do with your MBA, BA, PHd or your GED! The truth is, it runs no background checks whatsoever on you, not interested that is!

But as long as you are here on planet earth, breathing the breath of life, especially that you are a child of God, you will encounter unexpected delays. I am telling you child of God, life will flip the script on you and without as much as a hint, it interrupts your scheduled flow creating schisms and some unwanted impractical balances in your life.

The Hem Of His Garment Is Just A Touch Away

"For she said within herself, If I may but touch the hem of his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour." (Matthew 9:21-22)

It is part of our natural human tendencies to go in search of the things we need, when that which we are searching for is right there within our reach. We can go on and on, look high and look low and still not realize our blessing is right there within our reach. I am sure like me, you must have searched for something and when you have looked everywhere you suddenly catch a glimpse of it and you go, "but look the thing right there!" The occasion for the woman in this bible story was no different. She was in search of the one who she was confident had the key to making her whole again.

Her search had gone on for twelve long years and no doubt she must have become weary with her search, yet she never allowed the noise of the crowd on that day to stop her. Having gone to so many physicians before and not receiving the healing they had promised her, no doubt, she was determined as much as she was desperate. She had a made up mind! The outcome she desired, was that she be made whole.

Pastor Ava Baird Speaking On Aglow International

I had the pleasure of speaking with Pastor Ava Baird, the President of Aglow International, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Ava, as she is affectionately known among her piers, is a powerful woman of God that successfully navigates the spiritual realm with precision and accuracy, as well as the natural realm. Of the many other accolades that she holds, she is the Co-Pastor of the Deeper Life Ministry in Tortola. She delights in true worship and is blessed with three ministry gifts: Evangelism, Prophecy and Counselling. She has a great love and compassion for hurting women and is the Author of her first book, "True Worshipers...Armed And Dangerous.

Tell us about Aglow International -

To God be the glory great things He has done! It is with great inexplicable joy that I share with you today, as the President of Aglow International - Tortola, of the glory of the Lord in His manifested power with salvation, healing and deliverance all around the world.

Aglow International is a trans-denominational organization of Christian women and men that some Christian leaders call a "global movement," and has been in existence since 1967 beginning with just four women who expressed a desire to meet together as Christians without denominational boundaries. Aglow International has since been established in over 172 nations. An estimated 200,000 men and women meet in Aglow local fellowship throughout the world every month. An estimated 17 million individuals each year are ministered to through Aglow groups. Aglow has experienced rapid growth in the past several years, including the nations of Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

No Greater Love - The Encore

Ever so often you and I would hear words like, 'I love you,' or 'I will always love you.' They may come from your spouse, a child, a family member, a close friend and on the very rare occasion, from a total stranger. But what really is the measure of a man's love? How do you really know if someone meant what they said and said what they meant? Is it possible that when that person said 'I love you,' they really meant quite the opposite. The answers to these and other related questions, for decades have been the subject of much debate, especially that we find ourselves living in a world that at times seem filled with hate.

Plugged In To Power!

"If your comfort is more important than your blessing, then you will never receive your blessing. Because your blessing does not exist within the parameters of your comfort. And those of you that are willing to get out of your comfort zone, God says I will do a new thing in you." - Bishop T. D. Jakes
Ever so often, by way of my ministry's Youtube.com Readers Digest subscription account, I would receive directly into my mailbox my own personal copies of video messages from different speakers, mainly from across the USA. I am always inspired by the word of the Lord through these great men and women of God which gives me hope, courage, guidance and strength. I am honoured to have each one to speak prophetically into my life. They are all workmen in God's vineyard who are worthy of their reward.

I am especially honoured or rather humbled that divine providence would have me to connect with the ministry of Bishop T.D. Jakes. A father in the faith to so many around the world, a Patriarch others would say he is. The most recent of the messages, a four part series labelled "You Are Going To Be Blessed Outside Of Your Comfort Zone: Stirring Up A Blessing" by Bishop Jakes is revolutionary! It has the power to transform your life and to get your paradigm shifted into divine order. It has the ability to remove chaos and confusion out of your life and to bring peace and a sense of direction and purpose.......I was tremendously blessed by the messages and for the sole purpose of advancing the kingdom of God, and to bless His people as He alone gets all the glory, I share with you today.

Life Without Limits!

She is fun, she is hilarious with a great sense of humour - living a life of freedom and independence! No limits, no boundaries, just down to earth! Confident, sassy, determined, strong willed, and not easily broken. Family means everything. No celebrity status, just an ordinary kind of girl. A strategic thinker, creative, goal oriented, committed to tasks, passionate about the things of God. She is one of God's leading lady!

Welcome to this neck of the woods into my world today where, I am just elated! The feeling is euphoric! I am overwhelmed with joy and there is such a great sense of tranquility that is un-explainable through the natural human language. God knows I've always dreamed of this day when I could truly live the abundant life that He has promised to each one of us, and to really live life without limits.

Barren, Broken and Blessed by Joy Inyamu

Sometimes we find ourselves in barren situations. Not necessarily when a child has not been born, but in the area of accomplishing goals. Becoming something for ourselves, wanting to be more than what we are but still stuck in the place that we are, because we just can't seem to get it right, to conceive that dream or the means to facilitate it.

Barrenness is portrayed as an image of destruction, rejection, shame, despair and a joy killer in the bible.

But have you noticed that the barren women in the bible were the ones who bore children that became blessings to the nations when their wombs were eventually opened? Mighty prophets. People God used to show His glory.

Preserving Our Godly Heritage

Photo: AGCM, India with Pastor John Prasad and children
The Bible teaches that children are an heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward. (Psalm 127:3) GOD's WORD Translation (1995) says, "Children are an inheritance from the Lord. They are a reward from him."

It has always been a lifelong dream of mine to be able to impact the hearts, minds and lives of the world's youngest generation, especially those who have been neglected, left abandoned, abused and exploited in one way or another. After all, they are the ones that are most fragile and vulnerable. They somehow need more attention than the average person. They need our genuine love and affection regardless of the circumstances. They must be nurtured and well trained because the way that they are trained from early childhood, determines to a large extent the person they become in their adult life.

A case in point:

The Celebration Of A New Beginning

A brand new day has dawned upon us and it is filled with the blessed hope for a bright future. Yesterday is passed with all of its cares, troubles, trials and pain. You hold this day and the next, our very future you hold in your hands. So now we look unto the hills from whence cometh all our help, with the understanding that our help comes from you. Father we come not in our own strength nor in our own righteousness, but we come in the magnificent and precious name of your Son, Jesus. You are the Creator of everything, whether visible or in-visible, and you are the final disposer of all things. You are the Father of mercies, the God of comfort and peace and for that all the glory, praise and honor we givve to you.

All around the world many will gather in the assembly of the church congregation to celebrate your sovereignty, your majesty, your mighty acts, to praise you and to worship you in spirit and in truth. May your Spirit breathe life anew and work within each one of us. Draw your people closer to you. Minister salvation to draw the lost from the strongholds, the snares and traps of the enemy and win the backsliders back to you. Prepare each heart to be receptive to your word so that it may take root and bring forth fruits of righteousness.
