Drop The Act And Treat Others As You Want Them To Treat You

Don't look down on me because of my skin color or
because the sun has tanned me.
Find it within your heart to look beyond all that and
see the intricate, priceless beautiful artistry of this body, soul and spirit that I am
Of the one whose divine wisdom created me, gave me life and
placed me in my mother's womb.
I am God's little one, like a lily among the thorns,
tender as a young plant among the forest of grown trees,
but with nurturing, awaiting my time to burst into full bloom.

So my hair you perceived to be nappy,
my cry perhaps, you thought to be irritating and that made you unhappy.
What gave you the right to use the 'N' word
on such innocent soul and your hand as a sword?
Jesus says, suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not,
for such is the kingdom of heaven.
Get rid of the hate and all the senseless plots.
Why do you kick against the prick?
Were Jesus' question to Paul whose unwanted gestures
to humanity were downright mean and sick!

Look me in the face
Do you see the color black, white or brown or
do you see yet another part of God's human race?
It's time to unite as one - like sisters and brothers
Vividly imagining that my own mother
held you in her bosom and had nursed you upon her breast
that, if I met you on the street
I could kiss you and like Jesus did,
even wash your feet.
And no one would mind,
because once and for all they'll see we are one of a kind.
God's beautiful creation
Who are willing, regardless of your circumstances
to submit to God's word.
And to spread the good news about His Son,
to be imitators and carriers of His love.

Look to your left, now look to your right, what do you see?
In the world there is too much war and strife -
fists punching, slaps connecting to the face of beauty and innocence;
bullets flying from the trigger pulled by human hands
taking each other's life.
Too much hate and abuse and
people finding it difficult to control the anger,
much less the attitude.
Attitude!
That very thing that makes a big difference
between one's failure or success.
A bad attitude however, that's a mess!

Drop the act, time to unite and live as one
and treat others as you want them to treat you.

  2. Certainly agree with the previous comment. I can be certain of a on-time word from this blog. This is what ministered to me the most:

"I am God's little one, like a lily among the thorns,
tender as a young plant among the forest of grown trees,
but with nurturing, awaiting my time to burst into full bloom."

Too many persons for whatever reason get pushed aside before they even reach their full potential because of the actions of others or, they simply did not get the nurturing they should have been given to help them to mature and for their gifts to develop.

Thanks for the eye opener. We all need mentors.
