He Must Become Greater, I Must Become Less

"When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny." ―Paulo Coelho

Hi everyone!

I will be taking a two week Sabbatical and will not be writing and updating my Blog with any  new posts until April 2nd 2013.  I thank you for your understanding as much as I deeply appreciate the love and the support that you have given over the past fourteen months.

I pray for you daily and will continue to do so. I pray that during the time God will give me a fresh new Rhema word to speak to you upon my return. I even ask that God's Spirit will minister to your heart through one or more of the many posts that are here in the Blog archive.

Christian Growth: Lead With A Passion To Succeed

While it is true that a leader's role within an organization is primarily viewed as one to conjure up innovative ideas and strategies, to command authority, oversight, supervision and social influence all of which are geared towards the accomplishment of common goals, I believe, the days when the Leader just sit behind his mahogany desk, sips his coffee, 'cracks his big whip,' barks a few orders for the day at those he was charged to lead, and then the work gets done, are gone!

The idea of leadership, and one leading with a passion to succeed is not a myth, it is a modern day reality, that is highly contingent upon ones' ability first and foremost to serve. It has to be more than just talk. In order to be effective and to have the greatest success, one must be willing to take leadership example from our Lord Jesus, who stood out as an exemplary servant leader, as opposed to authoritarianism.

Where Is God When You Need Him The Most?

(Friday, March 15th 2013) Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16)

Effectual prayers are intended to be intense! These are prayers that believers are expected to engage themselves in in their daily Christian walk. These are prayers that are energized by the Holy Spirit, much like that of the ones who performed miracles. It is a normal thinking then that whenever we engage in such, the results and the effects are life changing. Yet I say this seems so far from reality of what is happening today in my life and maybe yours too.

Word Of Inspiration: Give Me An Undivided Heart

(Friday, March 15th 2013) Teach me your way, O Lord and I will walk in your truth, give me an undivided heart that I may fear your name. ~ Psalm 86:11. Can we trust ourselves to map out our own path or even carve out the trail we need to take on a daily basis? Is it possible that the steps we take on our own would allow us to enter into heaven one day? Can we trust our own intuitive feels each day and be guaranteed that we would have a successful outcome by the choices we have made on our own?

I am positive that it is the testimony of many of us that we have tried to do things on our own, only to find out later on, that in order to know how to choose the path that would lead us into the way of peace and everlasting life is to learn how to follow the way of the Lord.

Called To Serve One Another In Love

(Wednesday, March 13th 2013) When the title of today's post was given to me, I thought about what it really mean to serve. What is the real reason for me doing the things that I do? Why do you do the things that you do?

With your permission, for the second time in a row of these past few days, I will use Blogging as my example. It is not a full time job for me and kudos to those who do it and make a living from it. But I asked myself this serious question in the process of my meditation today - What is the real reason  or purpose for me Blogging? Is is for fame? No, it's not. I may be familiar, but certainly not famous. Is it so that others take notice of me on the world wide web? No, I would rather that my name and picture not be there. Unbelievably so, I am shy and love my privacy. Is it for self gratification? No, I don't get an income or any other perks for that matter from it.

You Are Surrounded With Infinite Possibilities Of Choice: 6 Ways To Maximize Them

"When a scene is being shot, it is very difficult to know what one wants it to say, and even if one does know, there is always a difference between what one has in mind and the result of the film." ~ Michelangelo Antonioni. Every waking moment that you and I spend, we are surrounded with endless possibilities of choice! The possibilities are numerous once we decide to act and not react. Opportunities will always present themselves.

We look  through the telescopic lenses of our mind and our subconscious being immediately takes a snapshot of the very first image that it sees. The image that is first captured, is simply an imitation and certainly not the original image of what the Creator wants us to have and believe in Him for. As children of God, we must believe that there are no limitations and no boundaries in the things that surrounds us. Not only do we have the promise of infinite possibilities, we have the power to make the right choices!

Word Of Inspiration - You Are Meant To Shine

The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. (Proverbs 4:18) You are the Light of the world. Let your light shine so that others may see your good works and glorify God the Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16) As carriers of the 'Light of the World,' you and I are meant to shine! We were created to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is true also that as we let our own light shine through, without the realization of it, we give others power and the permission that their light may shine forth as well.

The Light in you is to guide your path and to show you the straight and narrow path! That same Light is necessary to make things grow! Without Jesus the Light in the world we would be like the blind groping around in the darkness. He is the true Light of the world, (John 8:12) and although He is not in the world physically today, yet He sheds light upon our minds to help us to understand, and to give purpose and true meaning to our life. He is the Light of all men.

Out With The Sticky Residues Of Your Past - Time To Be Healed

Are you still hurting from the sticky residues of your past? Is your current relationship stoned-walled and in limbo simply because you find yourself still struggling with the thought of letting go of the ex and what he/she did to you? Do you find yourself in an abusive relationship saying 'I love him/her to death and I am not letting go no matter what!' If you have answered yes to any of the foregoing questions and is determined in your heart to be set free, it is not an accident that you are reading this post.

One of the great misconceptions of truth that I have discovered over the years and often times, one that leads to stigmatization of others, is that folks somehow associate 'letting go of the past' as a sign of your weakness. On the other hand, there are those who continually hold on and refuse to let go, not because they are not a strong individual but because, in their mind, it's the measure of their power and the amount of control they see themselves as having over a situation or over another individuals life.

Develop Your Own Personal Brand That Captures The Heart And Gain Lifelong Commitment

Any John Doe can walk off the street and present you with a deal, but it takes an unusually clever person with natural ability, faith, tenacity and perseverance to create a brand that not only captures the heart but gain loyalty and lifelong commitment. I believe, in developing and building your brand, it is important to remember that you are your brand and your brand represents you. Your brand is bigger than your business logo and it is more than just a catchy slogan . It is how your clients perceive you and what you have to offer to them. Daniel J. Boorstin once said, "An image [brand] is not simply a trademark, a design, a slogan or an easily remembered picture. It is a studiously crafted personality profile of an individual, institution, corporation, product or service."

I know that at times I can be a stickler of details, just as much as I dislike following the trends. But like I said before I would rather get lost in the crowd while I develop my own style and become a trendsetter.

My Top 12 Best Kept Secrets Of What Makes Me Happy

Beach front at the Fort Recovery Hotel , Tortola Virgin Islands (British)
We may not all agree on the same things that makes us happy as individuals as it varies from one person to another, yet one truth that we cannot deny is that family and relationships are the secret ways to happiness. To further articulate this point of differences in what makes people happy,  I draw from one of Helen Keller's quotes, that says, "It is not what we see and touch or that which others do for us which makes us happy; it is that which we feel, and think and do first for the other fellow and then for ourselves."

Mahatma Gandhi once made a very interesting statement also on the subject of happiness when he said, "Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony." The sentiments of both of these authors were outlined in an article I wrote previously that people are happy for varying reasons. Again happiness is an individual thing, just as it has different meanings to different persons. And so just in case you missed the article then, here is a link "Don't Worry, Just Be Happy...."

As it concerns me though, what are my top 12 best kept secrets of what makes me happy?
