Prayer For Victory Over Strongholds And Addictions

Father we come boldly to your throne of grace and mercy as we present an offering and a sacrifice of praise to you. You have awakened us this new day and breathed the breath of life into us. We pray for victory over sin, strongholds and addictions that is hindering our walk with you. We recognize our frailties and that on our own we are no match for our adversary the Devil who is about like a roaring lion, and seeking whom he may devour. Through your wisdom and strength, God we ask that you help us to abstain from all temptations and appearances of evil. Help us to be steadfast, unmovable, and to continually abound in your strength.

Manifest yourself and your omnipotence through your word of your faithfulness to us, who will not allow any of us to be tempted above which we are able to stand. May this prayer be a reminder that with every temptation that comes our way, that you Lord will empower and enable us to overcome and to escape every snare, trap, tricks, seductions of the Devil and evil devices set up for our demise. When tempted to live and act in unrighteous ways, Lord we ask that you bring our thoughts, mind, and body under subjection to your Spirit causing us to manifest holiness and righteousness.

We speak in agreement with your word that our body is the temple of your Holy Spirit, and that we are vessels of honor who have been purged and sanctified by your blood and Spirit fit for use to do your will on earth. We wear the whole armour of God each day. Our mind, heart and life are renewed and wrapped in your word. Above all, we take upon us the shield of faith and with that we are able to overcome sin, strongholds, temptation and addiction in Jesus name amen.

"May this prayer be a reminder that with every temptation that comes our way, that you Lord will empower and enable us to overcome and to escape every snare, trap, tricks, seductions of the Devil and evil devices set up for our demise. "

The devil may be busy, but we know we are in the Lord's hands.
